About this notice

This notice explains how Comfort Care handles information when you visit this website, send a general enquiry or ask about our services. It does not replace the service-specific privacy information needed for care records, clinical information or laboratory testing. Please do not send medical records or detailed health information through the general website form.

Comfort Care is run by Jodi-Ann Mitchell, based in Gloucester. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected] or call or text 07928 178447.

What information is collected

The enquiry form asks for your name, email address, the service you are interested in and your message. You may also choose to provide a telephone number or general location in your message. We receive the information directly from you.

The website and its security services also process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details, pages requested and security or error information. If you accept optional cookies, Squarespace can use information about visits and interactions to provide website analytics.

Providing enquiry information is voluntary, but we need contact details and enough information to respond. You can contact us by phone instead of using the form.

How and why information is used

We use enquiry information to reply, discuss suitability and availability, provide a quote and take steps you request before a booking. Where you are asking to enter a contract with us, the basis is taking steps at your request before entering that contract.

For other general enquiries and correspondence, we rely on our legitimate interests in answering questions and running our business. We also have a legitimate interest in protecting this website from spam, misuse and security threats. We consider the effect on your privacy when relying on these interests.

Optional analytics cookies rely on your consent. If you separately choose to receive marketing updates, you can withdraw that choice by contacting us or using the unsubscribe option in a message. Sending an enquiry does not itself subscribe you to marketing.

Website providers and sharing

Squarespace hosts this website and processes form submissions. The enquiry form sends a notification to [email protected]. Comfort Care uses Google Workspace for business email and files. The form also uses Google reCAPTCHA to help prevent spam and abuse. These providers process information to operate their services; their own privacy information also explains their activities.

Access within Comfort Care is currently limited to Jodi-Ann. Information may also be disclosed where necessary to meet a legal obligation, respond to a lawful request, obtain professional advice or address a serious safety concern. We do not sell enquiry information.

Provider infrastructure may involve processing outside the UK. The applicable arrangements and safeguards depend on the provider and service. Please contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your enquiry before sending information you consider sensitive.

How long information is kept

We assess how long enquiry information is needed by considering whether the enquiry is still active, whether a booking follows, any unresolved complaint or dispute, and legal or insurance requirements that apply. Information that is no longer needed should be securely deleted or anonymised. If an enquiry becomes a service booking, the information required for that service is subject to its record-keeping arrangements. You can ask us about the retention arrangements relevant to your information.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or portability. Some rights depend on the legal basis and legal obligations involved.

You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can also object to direct marketing at any time. Where processing relies on consent, withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Contact us using the details above to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before releasing information. You may also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner's Office.

Cookies and your preferences

Essential cookies and similar technologies support security, form operation and remembering choices. Optional cookies can support analytics and other features. Squarespace's non-essential cookie restriction is enabled, and the detailed visitor activity log is disabled.

Use Accept all, Decline all or Manage cookies in the banner. You can reopen Cookie Preferences to change your choices later. Declining optional cookies does not prevent you from making an enquiry. Your browser also provides controls for deleting or blocking cookies, although blocking essential cookies may affect functionality.

Squarespace's cookie information lists the technologies its platform may use, their purposes and durations. Examples include a session security cookie, preference cookies lasting around 30 days, and optional analytics cookies with durations ranging from 30 minutes to two years. The exact cookies used depend on the features you access and your choices.

Read Squarespace's current cookie list.

Google reCAPTCHA processes information to assess whether form activity is legitimate. External links, such as Facebook, take you to services with their own privacy and cookie practices.
